You manage as best you can until it falls apart and then you pick up the pieces and manage again. Throw away the ones with holes.
So my new strategy is to focus on one "side project" at a time apart from my full time job as Program Manager at Microsoft. In 2 years, I prototyped only 2 of them, and kept talking about the others.
