I would rather take someone out to lunch or give them gift certificates if I couldn't give them a bonus. Send the flowers to your significant others’ workplace. Your will be a better manager. I never gave flowers.

Like, the sweetness of the farmer and his parents working side by side for twenty years to pay off the farm, and the cleverness of the farmer figuring out how to be part of the local food movement without organic certification. When I first met the farmer and his parents I saw rolling fields, warm milk and grass-finished meat.

I went to school on nights to get a teaching certification added to my present Bachelors Degree. My husband was perfect for me, and I loved him dearly but it began to be too exhausting and lethal to my core beliefs and person. Broke, both of sick, beaten down, and still fighting we began to look for jobs in other cities.
