I want to be more diligent about finding a mentor to help me grow, outside of my supervisor. We meet many in our lives that can become our coaches or mentors, for longer or shorter periods of time. Finding a good mentor/coach/teacher is tough, but starting a blog exposes you to a huge measure of immediate coaching.
When it comes to finding a mentor, the most effective mentors are 3-5 years ahead of you in the workplace. I was wondering if there were any ways you knew of online to find a mentor. And if you think you’re above this strategy, consider this: Companies do this all the time, they just call the temporary help consultants instead of therapists. I've spent years learning to cope with asperger like issues and it is comforting to hear other peoples similar strategies. However, many people with aspergers develop coping strategies. I have Attention Deficit Disorder, and have developed many coping strategies over the years that only my closest friends and relatives know about.
