I want to be more diligent about finding a mentor to help me grow, outside of my supervisor. We meet many in our lives that can become our coaches or mentors, for longer or shorter periods of time. Finding a good mentor/coach/teacher is tough, but starting a blog exposes you to a huge measure of immediate coaching.

In some ways, the economic downturn was a great thing because it forced the big breeders to rethink their strategy and to slow down. The problem took years to create, and it will take years to sort out. Many responsible breeders have chosen not to breed anything in the past two years as a result. This is not a bad thing.
