Well, for team coaches, coaching supervision is a requirement for the new International Coaching Federation (ICF) Advanced Credential in Team Coaching (ACTC). Sometimes it's a space for creative play (using visual cards, my Conversation Sparker Charms™ and drawing) to evoke new awareness around what's possible for my coach client.
Logic, science, and rhetoric are the three legs of a solid liberal arts education (some would also include creating art, but I don't believe creativity is taught well in a college setting). Also there is a credentialism aspect of college education. I can't check out everyone's credentials, so someone gets a free pass.
