I first came upon Positive Psychology in a University psychology class in 2010. Seligman’s research in positive psychology has developed the Well-Being Theory, which measures Positive emotion, Engagement, Meaning, Positive Relationships, and Accomplishment–PERMA. Martin Seligman “The Father of Positive Psychology”.
Since each of us can always get stronger, I totally agree with setting goals to accomplish that. We also need a good reason to live our lives, accomplish our goals, and be successful. Mental strength is often associated with various qualities, including willpower, discipline, focus, motivation, and determination.
Accomplishment Like Jonathan Livingston Seagull, the enlightened bird made famous by Richard Bach, people need to have a sense of accomplishment and achievement to increase their self-esteem and confidence. xiii] We look for accomplishment, even if it does not lead to any of the other well-being factors.
Humans need water, food, and air to survive, but also positive emotion, engagement, meaning, accomplishment, and positive relationships to thrive. Drawing on your best qualities will help you to boost confidence and well-being, manage challenges and accomplish your relationship goals. Re-evaluate, and adjust.
The coach is encouraged to be ‘be alert to stories, narrative, and metaphor as a gateway to fruitful connection and more effective and deeper interpretation (Robinson 2010) 6. At a personal level, the resources the executive acquires greater inner personal benefits related to clarity & focus, motivation, and confidence.

As Marion Franklin states, people are more motivated (90%) to move away from pain than to move towards pleasure(Franklin, 2019). I am completely unable to accomplish office politics and definite limit my time with other people for the reasons listed above. A lot of us spend way too much time trying to mind-read to figure out what motivates the crazy normal people around us…which is distracting and depressing. Our openness can help to educate the masses.

If I don't, and don't get those endorphins, then my whole schedule is off, and I get nothing accomplished, not to mention I am a miserable grouch! I consider showering, dressing and going to work BIG accomplishments during heartbreak. Maybe you could learn to be good at that and I will follow you. :) Great great post.

I think you need to write a post about things you've done right, things you want, and how you are going to move on and accomplish them. And each of your break-ups has been motivated by fear of this growth and change, rather than by nastiness or gossip. We play hide and seek with our own motives. Is this honesty?
Inspiration and motivation are the factors that differentiate a leader from a boss, in my opinion.
