Good questions are fundamentally creative. As my career shifts, I find that the key to keeping the shift moving in a productive way is to ask good questions.

P.S. One of my mentors used to say "anything worth doing is worth doing 'badly'!" So maybe we should just be happy that we have our lack of focus because that enables our creativity. " It drove many of us crazy. Took me a while to realize what he meant. And we’ll never know that.

It's easier to jump in (albeit perhaps at a lower level) after taking time off if you have more experience and a stronger network in your hip pocket. I dont think the two are interchangeable, like they're different hormones. So you generalizing that grad school is not the way to go is totally wrong.
