Avoid These Intimidating Questions That Can Silence Innovation and Problem Solving When someone on your team screws up or has one of those “what were they thinking” moments, particularly when the stakes are high. You need to figure out what’s going on– fast. In these moments of stress, it’s tempting to shortcut communication with blunt, intimidating questions to get quick answers.
Last year, loneliness and isolation were declared an epidemic in the United States. This may come as a surprise, but after researching the topic, it became clear how serious this issue is. Loneliness, often dismissed as a common and transient problem, can have severe impacts when it becomes a prolonged experience. Chronic feelings of isolation not only harm our physical health and mental well-being but also diminish our performance at work.
For my coaching practice, I would like to focus on career development and leadership. There are many areas in career development. Some could be technical. For example, to learn or master certain skills like programming which I think is easier as there are many learning programs in the market. Others could be more about our mindset which I believe requires awareness and proactively and deliberately working on it.
