I flew my wife out on frequent flyer miles and all we had to do way pay for meals and entertainment. One day at a dance performance in Tokyo 3 Japanese women spotted me in the most Japanese crowd and came over to thank me for attending. My company paid for 2 extra nights in the hotel, (cheaper on a weekend than mid-week).
Your options for entertainment are so much greater at a Michigan State because of the bigger student body; plays, musical performances, indie bands. It never occurred to me that the con calls are driving me crazy and I do I do it for sheer entertainment. The last part of this post reads like every annual performance self-evaluation I've seen where the person knows they aren't contributing and should be fired. As long as you can continue to perform the activities you love to do then that is most of the battle.
I'm sure you aren't selling such a caveman notion, but your comment reads like you believe sex is a duty women perform without any enjoyment for themselves. I celebrate the ability of humans to overcome challenges, be they women in the workforce or athletes challenging the limits of human performance. That is just an excuse.

Because I have an appetite for knowledge for it's own sake, I have very little patience for ignorant and shallow people or mundane and silly conversation,entertainment, etc. We look at others and their "happy buttons" and wonder how to make our "happy buttons" perform the same function.
I hope that the rule of past performance predicting future performance will skew more toward his former exits than mine. rather than entertaining any one of a few seemingly viable options (like getting your own farm) is not the right man for you.
