He may not be able to do this himself very easily so a good support network is very important. I don't want to sound like a naysayer to a medical condition, but these sound pretty minor and correctable though meditation. I also think your biggest concern is the second to last paragraph. Health insurance is crucial for me because I have a pre-existing medical condition. I've been determined to be medically ineligible for health insurance by two different major insurance companies! 10 an hour in Washington, D.C. and no benefits? I don't think so. One can only sacrifice so much.

If they do survive they become stunted, lose their flowers, develop larger thorns and often have to be medicated to survive. Huge undermining factor in our marriage.
I just know that ideas overwhelm me sometimes, and until I go to a doctor to get medication to calm my head down, I’m not convinced I need more interestingness in my life than my already-spinning head. Or maybe I am doing them both at the same time? I don’t know.
Most people don't travel that far for medical procedures. Seriously though…in a recession you're blogging about having to travel to either ends of the country for beauty maintenance. It makes me wonder how 'down to earth' and realistic your life is if you can't get your hair done in the same state you live in.

You also would have short-term disability to use should you have surgery or some sort of medical event. You also have sick and vacation time.
Trying to medicate yourself in order to deal with something is just not healthy. As I constantly am looking for ways to bring you successful ways to become better at career networking. So for a lot of people career networking is really hard. Very uncomfortable. And a place of little safety.
Clearly women look for leadership in how to conduct their lives. I'm surprised that people seem to think that single women aren't blogging; the 20 Something Bloggers network features many single female bloggers.
