I'd like to add one idea from a mentor of mine, who led big organizations in both sectors. Health insurance is crucial for me because I have a pre-existing medical condition. I've been determined to be medically ineligible for health insurance by two different major insurance companies! Salesforce.com rocks!
He may not be able to do this himself very easily so a good support network is very important.
